During our research we found many positive opinions about Moneta Markets and overall a good impression from their user base.
Moneta Market's minimum deposit ranges from $50 all the way up to $50,000 depending on the account type a user chooses. Here are their available payment methods:
Bear in mind that all payment methods are not available in all countries. It's always best to check directly on your client area which ones are available in your location.
Moneta Markets allows the following base currencies:
Moneta Markets offer 3 different account types with different requirements. There are many common points between them so we'll focus only on those that differ from each other. Here's how they compare:
Direct STP | Prime ECN | Ultra ECN |
---|---|---|
|
|
|
When it comes to other features such as platforms, instruments, base currencies, stop-out levels, all accounts offer pretty much the same.
Moneta Markets' account offering is well crafted when it comes to their Prime ECN account as it's definitely competitive with some of the world's leading brokers out there. On the other hand, their Direct STP account is not competitive at all and their Ultra ECN account has an extremely high entry barrier with a minimum deposit of $50,000.
Moneta markets charges spreads, commissions and overnight fees. Let's go over each one of them:
Here's how Moneta Markets' spreads compare to similar competitors:
Asset | Moneta Markets | Skilling | Pepperstone |

EUR/USD Spread | Dynamic - From 0.1 to 1.2 Pips | Dynamic - From 0 to 1.3 Pips | Dynamic - From 0 to 0.77 Pips |
SP500 Spread | Dynamic - From 300 Pips | Dynamic - From 120 Pips | Dynamic - From 0.4 to 1.5 Pips |
Gold Spread | Dynamic - From 10 to 130 Pips | Dynamic - From 36 Pips | Dynamic - Average 13.81 Pips |
TSLA Spread | Dynamic - From $0.22 | Dynamic - From $4.62 | Dynamic - Market Spread |
XLK Spread | Dynamic - From $0.02 | Dynamic - From $0.84 | Dynamic - Market Spread |
BTC Spread | Unavailable | Dynamic - From $131.8 | Dynamic - From $30 |
Here's how Moneta Markets' commissions compare to similar competitors:
Moneta Markets | Skilling | Pepperstone | |
---|---|---|---|
Commissions | Commission structure varies as follows:
| Skilling charges commission on its forex pairs and spot metals for its premium account. The commission starts from $35 per million USD traded (eg: EUR/USD $35, GBP/USD $40 and Gold $60). |
|
Moneta Markets' commission structure is definitely at its best when it comes to the Prime ECN account as the minimum deposit is quite low and their commissions are also very competitive. On the other hand, their other accounts are not taking the lead when it comes to comparing them with other competitors.

When it comes to asset offering, while not being as low as other brokers, Moneta Markets is definitely lacking variety for traders looking to explore different assets. Their strenght seems to be definitely offering competitive commissions and an interesting account offering.
Moneta markets offers the following platforms:
Here's how their most interesting platform (Pro Trader) looks like:
Pro Trader is their own branding of TradingView's platform. Which by international standards is the world's leading trading platform out there.
Inside Moneta Market's client area (a separate entity from their platforms) users can access a variety of options such as managing accounts, adding or withdrawing funds and many others. From these options, Moneta Markets decided to add a few interesting research and analsysis tools. Some of them are:
Some of the tools are a mixture of TradingView's widgets and others are provided by Trading Centrals such as the signal below:
While these tools are a great way to drive engagement for new traders, experts won't find much value in them as they're mostly oriented towards traders that lack the knowledge to properly scan the markets themselves and detect trading opportunities.
Inside the Pro Trader Tools section, Moneta Markets has a tab called "Market Masters" where they have quite a lot of educational videos for new traders to learn the basics of the markets.
The videos are well crafted yet they are educational on the surface level for traders that are barely starting their careers.
Moneta Markets clearly has a very strong point which is their account offering on the ECN side, where traders that are on the low end of the spectrum and can start with upwards of $200 will gain access to low spreads (from 0 Pips) with a $3 commission per lot per side and traders with enough capital to start with $50,000 will gain access to spreads from 0 Pips with a $1 per lot per side commission.
The only catch?
As long as Moneta Markets provides the assets that a trader is looking for, then their account offering will definitely be a great one. On the other hand, if a trader is looking for as much variety as possible when it comes to asset offering, Moneta Markets will fall short as an option.
Overall we believe it's a great broker as long as a trader is 100% clear on its strong points and leverages them in his favour.
